Town of Warrenton Septic Assistance Program

Do you live in Warrenton and currently rely on a septic system? Would you like to connect to the public sewer system? You may be eligible for grant funding!

The Town of Warrenton is pleased to announce the rollout of its Septic Assistance Program, a new initiative to provide funding to eligible homeowners to replace their septic systems.

Awarded $912,390 from the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality’s American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding, this grant will enable qualified property owners within Town limits to remove their septic system and connect to the public sewer, improving environmental health and water quality. Eligible property owners can receive reimbursable funding for all or a portion of the cost. Funds will be distributed to Town-approved contractors, only after approved costs have been incurred and property owners submit necessary documentation. The program will operate until 2026 on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted.
